 The -current test kernel seems to work fine. The CPU clock is adjusted 
 by estd:
 
 -bash-3.1# sysctl machdep.powernow
 machdep.powernow.frequency.target = 1000
 machdep.powernow.frequency.current = 1000
 machdep.powernow.frequency.available = 1000 1800
 
 And i8254 is now selected as timecounter instead of TSC:
 
 -bash-3.1# sysctl kern.timecounter
 kern.timecounter.choice = clockinterrupt(q=0, f=100 Hz) TSC(q=-100, 
 f=1808863380 Hz) i8254(q=100, f=1193182 Hz) dummy(q=-1000000, f=1000000 Hz)

 kern.timecounter.timestepwarnings = 0
 
 => The system clock is not drifting anymore =)
