okay, i must have had old data saved in my notepad window. sorry about
 that.

the machine was running an RC5 kernel in an rc1 userland at the time of
this crash. NOT an RC1 kernel.

i have since rebooted the machine with a 3.0_RC1 kernel, and as such
cannot include the correct uname -a at time of crash. I am attempting
to see if i can reproduce this behavior with an RC1 kernel.
