 I think we will have to bit some day and move forward to a supported zlib
 version. We are at 1.1.4 with lots of patches, official is 1.2.3. The 1.2
 series did not have a good security track so far, but importing random fixes
 from third parties for the unsupported version in tree is not much better,
 IMHO.
 
 In my (limited) experience in other applications (outside NetBSD) the upgrade
 to the 1.2.x series also brought a significant performance boost.
