>Description:
transfering files corrupts them. I noticed that when getting .tgz and fron ftp.netbsd.org and the files didn't gunzip properly.
Further investigation shows that the file size is correct, but the checksum is not. I tried transferring the files to another computer and then ftp'ing them from the LAN. Sometimes the files come correct, some not. Interestingly using "sum" the first number is usually wrong while the second correct.

I fear this is a kernel/ethernet problem... it would be strange if it was a ftp bug.

I am on a Macintosh IIci with 68030, FPU and cache card. The eth card is identified as

ae0 at nubus0 slot d: MacCon Ethernet, 16KB memory
