 I'm pretty sure I'm seeing the same problem in the 2.0 release (or maybe
 the same problem and a related one).  Writing to a Lexar flash drive hung
 the writing process in D state; pulling out the drive caused a general hang.
 
 I also had repeatable failures reading a large scan from an Epson scanner
 (xsane posted "I/O error" alert box and would hang if I tried to repeat scan;
 scanner would not return home unless I disconnect/reconnect USB cable).
 With ehci disabled in userconf, scanning is rock solid.
 
 My adapter is the Acer Labs Combo (6xUSB+2x1394).
