not meaningful because machine currently runs OpenBSD 3.6 (no problem with same controller card) but I really wanted to install NetBSD 2.0
NetBSD install "sees" the Compaq Netelligent PCI Ethernet card, correctly says to what bus it is attached, but does not recognize that is uses the TI Thunderlan chipset and therefore does not configure it as device tl0.
Was not successful at compiling a kernel to solve the problem, e.g. editing the tl* line.
Just boot the 2.0 install CD ROM, afterwards do dmesg | more
