I've been seeing this problem on my 9500 (604e CPUs) with last week's
-current as well.  I thought it was related to allen's recent interrupt
changes for pre-openpic systems since I hadn't noticed it earlier,
but apparently the problem was there before as well.  maybe it's worse now.
