Installing NetBSD 2.0 RC1 from a CDROM on an i386 platform does not leave a bootable OS if you select serial bootblocks instead of BIOS console.
I have tried using the bootselector or the bootcode in the MBR and either way the machine fails to find an OS to boot on restart.
Go through install process on i386 platform and select serial bootblocks instead of BIOS console.
