mmm this would usually say 'fd0a:netbsd - starting in 0'
since the CD is usually taken to be a floppy.

I suspect something doesn't like the large disk number.
Someone did change the limit (there because of systems where the BIOS lies)
in the (I think) mbr code - which isn't on the CD...
