When installing XFree86 4.4 from pkgsrc, when it is untarring the multiple XFree86 source packages it seems to lock up the hard drive (and thus the rest of the system) it is extracting to.  My guess is that it will happen at any time one is extracting large files.  Otherwise XFree86 would build fine when I can get it not not lock up which I have not been able to do.  Done on both a FFS 1.0 and 2.0 so it does not seem to be the file system.  Just locks up under the high load anytime.  Ata
