With very light TCP traffic, the ath PCI wireless driver freezes
network traffic every few minutes 5-15 minutes for approx. 2-5
minutes. This was observed on a "JVC-Victor Interlink MP-XP7310"
sub-notebook, with an Atheros 5212 mini-pci type IIIB card
installed, that is only a 3-5 meters from an access point in the
same room. Note that since the laptop dual boots into WinXP, and
the Wi/Fi network freeze DOES NOT OCCURS under WinXP with the same
hardware (laptop & ath card) and same Wi/Fi access point (router).
Login with SSH to a remote machine via Wi/Fi through the "ath0"
interface, and run "vi" on the remote machine and just type for
a few minutes, until you notice the network freeze. This freeze
will occur for a few 2-5 minutes.
