>Description:
The onboard audio for both the above audio controllers does not work in netBSD 1.6.1. I would like to request that such audio support be pulled into the 1.6.1 release. I know it exists in current (at least for ICH4) and was able to make some modifications to get the audio working (again for ICH4) but would like the support to be pulled into the release on a permanent basis.
>How-To-Repeat:
Easily repeatabel by trying to play audio on the system.
>Fix:
To fix the problem for ICH4 I took a look at the auich.c file in a slightly old version of current and added the product ID and some specific ICH4 statements to the 1.6.1 auich.c file I had. Then I re-compiled the kernel and it worked.
