groff package depends on X11 because of
textproc/groff has dependencies on netpbm, psutils, and ghostscript.

groff provides grohtml (which can use gs and can
generate png files) and X display groff devices.

And it has many examples files that need netpbm to generate.

Install groff (because you need a nroff for manpages or tbl)
on a system without X11.
