gawk does not exist per-default on Irix some packages require it
but do not check for existance, same goes for nroff (groff) and
ranlib (binutils)

it would make since if those pkgsrc ports that use gawk / nroff
e.d. would first that the OPSYS or BINPATH for existance of those
tools or equivelents and if no suitable tools are found compile
those packages first
