>Description:

OK, so I'm sitting here late trying to get X working, when I seem to stumble on a problem with securelevel being not -1. Seems the only way out is recompiling a kernel with INSECURE. But I hate the prospect of having to fetch kernel sources and compile, just because I like to get X on this machine.

I know my chance to get this fixed is probably zero, but why is it that this is different between the i386 port and the macppc port? Wouldn't it be reasonable to have the SAME default setting of this for all ports? Thanks for a wasted night.
