I'm glad to see that sysinst works at all for powerpc :-)

I suspect that you 'forgot' to setup the mountpoint names when you
chose 'use existing'.  If you RTFM is does say that you have to!

OTOH the version I'm currently testing will pull defaults from the
'last mounted' field of the superblock.

Maybe it ought also inspect /etc/fstab of the target root filesystem.
(Upgrade really, really, really does need to do that!)
In fact, at the moment, I think it is random which fs upgrade acts on!
