SunOS mahler 5.8 Generic_108528-19 sun4u sparc SUNW,Sun-Fire-280R
Just had it fail on gmake also. I don't know why its stripping sparc from sparc-sun-solaris (and 2.8 for that matter, but I can semi-understand the 2.8 part)
Build pkgsrc on solaris, grab the pkgsrc tree, and do a bmake in meta-pkg/gnome2.
I also had it fail on libtool-base, with something about "test: unexpected option" but I think that's because it was using solaris's test (/usr/bin/test), which probably didn't support an option it was looking for. I just manually ran configure + touched .configure_done.
I'm currently trying the fix suggested on the tech-pkg list. Nope, didn't seem to work.
I'm guessing this is going to be hard to reproduce?
