The documentation is confusing the words "port" and "platform".  I know that the historical terms are "port" and "porting".  But other *BSD and Unices are using "platform", as is half of the documentation.  I'm submitting this problem report as a tracking mechanism for the decision to use the term "platform" more uniformly.  It is already used on the main web page at http://netbsd.org/
