The mr driver for the Gemtek/Guillemot Maxiradio PCI FM radio card was imported without trial from OpenBSD. When OpenBSD discovered it did not work, OpenBSD replaced the driver with the gtp driver. The gtp driver replaced the mr driver in NetBSD -current in September -02, but it has not replaced the mr driver in -release. I have been running the gtp driver in 1.6rc3 and 1.6.1 with success. I am requesting that it be incorporated in 1.6.1.
In /usr/src/sys/dev/pci remove maxiradio.c and install gtp.c-1.2. In /usr/src/sys/dev/ic remove tea5757.*-1.1 and install tea5757.*-1.2. In /usr/src/sys/dev/pci/files.pci under "Guillemot Maxi Radio FM 2000 Card" replace instances of "mr" with "gtp". In the kernel conf-files replace instances of "mr" with "gtp". Versions of gtp.c and tea5757.* above 1.2 may not work (kernel-compile failed with gtp.c-1.4 and 1.5 against -release of May 2).
