Cannot mount a CD during installation.  The following console messages appear:

pciide0:1:0: lost interrupt
        type: atapi tc_bcount: 0 tc_skip: 0
(repeats five times)

The IDE controller is recognised at boot time as:

pciide0 at pci0 dev 17 function 1: VIA Technologies VT8233A ATA133 controller
pciide0: bus-master DMA support present
pciide0: primary channel configure to compatibility mode
pciide0: primary channel interrupting at irq 14
pciide0: secondary channel configured to compatability mode

The machine is a PC clone with an Asus A7V333 motherboard and on-board IDE controller and Sony CD-ROM drive.  This hardware works under Loonix.
