Build a fresh new mozilla, with newly threaded -current, it builds and runs fine, however it won't connect to any web pages, it displays the error:
The connection was refused when attempting to contact www.mozilla.org.
or similair. Using ip number doesn't change the error
Note I've no idea if this is a mozilla bug or the new pthread stuff. as some people were suggesting it already happened.
Try to use mozilla for browsing the web.
