On plugging in a usb 232 serial adapter, the kernel reports:

uhub0: port error, restarting port 1
uhub0: port error, giving up port 1
umct0 at uhub0 port 1
umct0: MCT Sitecom USB-232 Products, rev 1.10/1.02, addr 2
ucom0 at umct0

when ttyU0 (I'm guesing that is correct) is connected to, using tip, the system stops DEAD.

Unplugging the usb device doesn't appear to un stop-dead the system :-(

Plug in usb323 serial adapter.
Connect to ttyU0 using tip.
