In mplayer-share/Makefile.common, we see:

RESTRICTED?=            "unsure of the license"

According to the mplayer website, this ambiguity is removed.  See http://www.mplayerhq.hu/homepage/info.html and scroll to the bottom.

The restrictions on binary distribution should be moot now.  The CSS code may still pose a problem.
