System: NetBSD johnbsd 1.6_BETA5 NetBSD 1.6_BETA5 (GENERIC) #0: Fri Aug 9 08:59:13 UTC 2002 autobuild@tgm.daemon.org:/autobuild/i386/OBJ/autobuild/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
See the messages in the system log below.
The Adaptec controller (aic7889) is on the motherboard and controls 2 hard drives.
Whenever there are IO accesses on both drives, the system either hangs or panics.
It does not happen when only one drive is accessed.
This problem cannot be reproduced with Release 1.5.3 loaded on the same exact system.
See the system log below for more info in the case of a system hang.

>How-To-Repeat:
Several 'cp -r' from one disk to another will produce after a while a system hang.
I usually mount /dev/sd1g on /home and do several 'dd if=/dev/rsd0e of=/home/TESTFILExx bs=32k count=1000' and this will usually produce a panic in a few seconds.
