>Description:
after an install of 1.6B the system is unbootable, complaining that
it cannot fint netbsd, netbsd.gz, vmunix, etc....
>How-To-Repeat:
I am doing a new install (not an upgrade).
I use a custom partition layout, 1949 MB in /, and 100 MB in swap.
I extract all the sets (full) [I use the x*tgz files from 152.]
Along the way I get the message "all selected distribution sets extracted successfully"
Later I get the message "new root filesystem failed a basic sanity check"
If I exit the install system and "mount /dev/sd0a on /mnt", and do an
ls on /mnt, netbsd is a symbolic link to netbsd.GENERIC which does not
exist!

>Fix:
mount /dev/sd0a /mnt
cd /mnt
pax -zrpe -f /kern-GENERIC.tgz [or where ever this distfile is]

this will make it boot correctly
