>Environment:
System: NetBSD a5 1.5ZA NetBSD 1.5ZA (rkb) #20: Mon Jan 28 19:18:29 PST 2002 ross@a5:/usr/ross/rkb alpha
Architecture: alpha
Machine: alpha
>Description:
recent compat/linux changes prevent many programs from executing
on x86 and prevent the alpha GENERIC kernel from even building
>How-To-Repeat:
try to build alpha GENERIC, which includes COMPAT_LINUX
>Fix:
I almost had this fixed but ran out of time

as checked in, it was not even remotely close to building
on alpha and actually got errors just trying to run
	makesyscalls.sh
