System: NetBSD hiro 1.5Y NetBSD 1.5Y (HIRO) #0: Fri Sep 21 22:58:00 CEST 2001 wiz@hiro:/archive/cvs/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/HIRO i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
After killing isdnd (tried it from the interactive menu, but probably
otherwise too), restarting with /etc/rc.d/isdnd start fails with:
Nov 10 22:11:38 hiro isdnd[1390]: ERR ERROR setting new PPP authentication parameters for isp0 at line 37!
Nov 10 22:11:38 hiro isdnd[1390]: ERR there were 1 error(s) in the configuration file, terminating!

The second error message is bogus, since the setting fails because the
isp0 interface is still ``up''.
>How-To-Repeat:
Kill isdnd from the interactive menu.
	/etc/rc.d/isdnd start
(with ppp-* settings in /etc/isdn/isdnd.rc).
>Fix:
Manually doing ``ifconfig isp0 down'' before running the rc.d script works
around the problem. A better solution would be nice.
