System: NetBSD 1.5X NetBSD 1.5X (CHALLENGER.old) #0: Wed Sep 12 12:00:42 EDT 2001 root@:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/CHALLENGER.old i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
Using a TEAC USB floppy, I can read from the drive, but not
	write to it.

	 umass0 at uhub1 port 2 configuration 1 interface 0
	 umass0: TEAC TEAC FD-05PUB, rev 1.00/0.00, addr 2
	 umass0: using UFI over CBI-I
	 atapibus1 at umass0 channel 0: 2 targets
	 sd0 at atapibus1 drive 0: <TEAC, FD-05PUB, 1026> type 0 direct removable
	 sd0: drive offline
Sep 12 12:05:59 challenger su: smb to root on /dev/ttyp2
	 sd0: no disk label
	 sd0: no disk label
	 sd0(umass0:0:0): Check Condition on CDB: 0x2a 00 00 00 00 44 00 00 04 00
	     SENSE KEY: Not Ready
	      ASC/ASCQ: ASC 0x04 ASCQ 0xff

	  sd0(umass0:0:0): Check Condition on CDB: 0x1e 00 00 00 00 00
	      SENSE KEY: Aborted Command
	       ASC/ASCQ: Overlapped Commands Attempted

Plug the floppy in and try 'mdir'. Or mount it read-write.
	(I used sd0d, since that's the only thing with a rational-looking
	synthesized label courtesy of 'disklabel'.)
