>Description:

The umass driver appears to attempt to support ATAPI over USB, the
8070 subprotocol, but it does not appear to function with my brand new
Amacom Flipdisk. The Flipdisk is a portable 2.5 inch hard drive with
PCMCIA, USB and Firewire support built in. The PCMCIA support seems
to function fine, it looks like another IDE controller. The USB
support appears to nearly work. Here is the error:

umass0 at uhub0 port 1 configuration 1 interface 0
umass0: Quick-ServUSBIDE Quick-ServUSBIDE, rev 1.01/2.40, addr 2
umass0: using SFF8070i over BBB-P
atapibus0 at umass0 channel 0

umass0: Invalid CSW: tag 4850008 should be 45
umass0: Invalid CSW: tag 4850008 should be 46

The problem could very well be that the Flipdisk is fibbing about what
it supports. I do not know, for a fact, that it speaks ATAPI over
USB....

>How-To-Repeat:

Plug a Flipdisk into a USB port on a NetBSD 1.4Y, 1.5.1_BETA or
-current load and watch it almost function.

>Fix:

Don't know... however, I can test anything anyone else proposes
