>Environment:
System: NetBSD lyssa.zhadum.de 1.5N NetBSD 1.5N (LYSSA) #0: Fri Dec 15 13:52:36 CET 2000 tron@lyssa.zhadum.de:/src/sys/compile/LYSSA i386
Architecture: i386
Machine: i386
>Description:
My NIS master server running NetBSD 1.5 isn't able to push YP maps to my
NIS slave server running NetBSD-current any more:

tron@colwyn:~tron#yppush -h lyssa ypservers
yppush: _svc_run: callback timed out

Recompiling "ypserv" from NetBSD 1.5's source fixes the problem:

tron@colwyn:~tron#yppush -h lyssa ypservers
yppush: Master's version not newer

It is not a problem with the TCP wrappers because the master server has
access to all services on the slave server.

>How-To-Repeat:
Use a NIS master server on a NetBSD 1.5 system with a slave server on a
NetBSD-current system.

>Fix:
None provided.
