While doing a make build, it died with the following error:

My source tree is cvs checked out from a local anoncvs tree I sup'ed from
sup.netbsd.org. sup.netbsd.org has a restrictive list file for the anoncvs
all release. It includes the line "omitany */CVS*" which matches on the file
CVSvn.texi.
