>Description:
I'm having difficulty with playing sound on some Intel 820 motherboard
	based machines with recent -current's.

Opening /dev/sound and sending something to it works the first few
times you try it after a reboot but after a (short) while any further
attempts just hang opening the device. This state continues till a
	reboot.

This is with a 1.4X system of early April vintage and I've just tried
a kernel from todays sources with the same result. Any ideas?

A dmesg for the machine is below.

cheers
mark
