>Organization:
>Environment:
	DECstation 3100, NetBSD 1.4V - NetBSD 1.4X
System: NetBSD mod60 1.4X NetBSD 1.4X (MRYMIPS) #101: Sun Apr 9 19:04:52 PDT 2000 staylor@mod60:/usr/src/sys/arch/pmax/compile/MRYMIPS pmax

>Description:
Since 1.4V, standard console video text has stopped after the line
"root file system type: ffs". Except for an as of yet undetermined
point in rc startup, which hangs until ^C typed, system operation
		is otherwise unaffected--X11 operates normally.
This is confirmed by myself, and reported by others for the 5000.
>How-To-Repeat:
Compile a kernel after NetBSD 1.4V for the DECstation 3100 MIPS machine.
Observer all normal kernel startup and probes, with output ceasing on the
text video console screen after "root file system type: ffs." This is
the case for both single- and multi-user boot.
>Fix:
	Unknown.
