Hmm,

I'm sorry (but happy too ;-) that I probably pulled the trigger
too quickly on this one.  Further investigation uncovered that
this crash was probably due to a botched build on my part.  My
laptop is now running 1.4.2_ALPHA code from yesterday evening
Just Fine.
