>Description:

The SS5/70 has these attributes for the CPU:
...
cache-line-size          00000020
cache-nlines             00000200
page-size                00001000
dcache-line-size         00000010
dcache-nlines            00000200
dcache-associativity     00000001
icache-line-size         00000020
icache-nlines            00000200
icache-associativity     00000001
ncaches                  00000002
mmu-nctx                 00000100
...
And the SS5/170 has these attributes for the CPU:
...
ecache-line-size         00000020
ecache-nlines            00004000
ecache-associativity     00000001
dcache-line-size         00000020
dcache-nlines            00000200
dcache-associativity     00000001
icache-line-size         00000020
icache-nlines            00000200
icache-associativity     00000001
ncaches                  00000002
mmu-nctx                 00000100
...
dcache = data cache
icache = instruction cache
ecache = external (L2) cache (?)
cache = external (L2) cache (?)

Whilst NetBSD reports the instruction/data cache properly, it
seemingly ignores the `cache' on the ss5/70 (I'll update this
with the results of booting netbsd on the ss5/170 later).
