This has happened about four times in the past hour or so; it seems
to be exacerbated by doing lots of writes at once (for instance,
savecore)

I have some of the core saved; it's at least 120M, though, and the
entire kernel isn't saved at panic time because there's not quite
enough swap. This can be increased, though.
