System: NetBSD gandalf.plethora.net 1.4M NetBSD 1.4M (GANDALF) #0: Wed Oct 27 21:20:08 CDT 1999 email@example.com:/usr/src/sys/arch/alpha/compile/GANDALF alpha
System has a pair of EIDE drives merged via ccd. Writes to this
partition occasionally yield
savecore: reboot after panic: biodone already
but I don't know how to usefully debug this further.
untar large file on the ccd'd drive.
The controller is one of the Promise controllers supported by the new
pciide driver, but it has a local patch (taken off the NetBSD mailing
lists) to coerce the IO area under 0x8000, because this is apparently
necessary on this system.
