i386 or alpha with VGA display

When text output occurs to the tty that the X server is
running on, wscons will change the VGA panning registers,
causing the X display to wrap around the screen and/or scroll

Run X. `echo foo >/dev/ttyE0', or whichever virtual terminal
the X server is started on.
