Actually, it's not _quite_ that easy, but it's not too much harder,
either.

FWIW, this problem was also detailed in PRs 7186 and 7520.

I fixed it the other day in -current, and it should be fixed in 1.4.1
as well (when that happens).

The boot floppy I gave you yesterday should indeed include the fix.
You might try it and see if it solves the problem to your satisfaction.
