System: NetBSD azarin 1.4C NetBSD 1.4C (AZARIN) #64: Sat Jun 12 23:53:56 JST 1999 kei@azarin:/var/src/sys/arch/macppc/compile/AZARIN macppc
My machine is a PowerMac clone with 604e.
>Description:
1.4C GENERIC kernel won't boot on my machine. It hangs just after
printing 'using 435 buffers containing 1740 KB of memory'.
message 'mainbus0 (root)' is not printed.
I commented USB stuff from the kernel config file since my mashine have
no the feature, and it makes the kernel boot.
>How-To-Repeat:
configure and install GENERIC kernel, try boot from it.
>Fix:
Though I have no idea, the workaround described above indicates there
exists some problems with current USB stuff.
