I don't have any others I can wall on without disturbing vast numbers

This argument itself leads to the perpetuation of any glitch in 4.3BSD
that most vendors haven't bothered to fix. Do vendors normally bother
with this kind of minor glitch? No.

When was the equivalent test put into write? Ages ago. Is there any
reason (besides inertia) that wall should be different?
