>Release: NetBSD-1.4-i386
>Environment:
NetBSD cranberry 1.4 NetBSD 1.4 (GENERIC) #0: Fri May 7 12:27:31 PDT 1999 perry@cynic.cynic.net:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/GENERIC i386

>Description:
Running 1.3.2-i386 before, booted 1.4 Install floppy (boot.fs) to upgrade
to NetBSD-1.4. Kernel detects both IDE chains fine, and configures all 4
IDE drives. However, when sysinst reads /etc/fstab to mount all local HDs
it fails miserably as all /dev/wd2* and /dev/wd3* (and also /dev/rwd[23]*)
nodes are missing.

>How-To-Repeat:
Boot standard NetBSD-1.4 installation/upgrade floppy.

>Fix:
Manually: mknod /dev/wd[23]* entries after booting floppy, and then run
sysinst. (That's what I did and it was fine)

Ultimately, the boot FS should probably create /dev/ entries automagically.
