:>Synopsis: named secondary zone to NT primary misses NT address record
:>Description:
:I have named running locally with one primary zone. A secondary zone is
:created which looks at a primary zone on an NT server. The replication of
:the NT database is complete except for the address record for the NT server
:itself.

This is a bit obscure. Can you enhance your description please.
I just tried named-xfer of an NT box's primary zone. Worked OK. Had
an A record for the NT server. The zone on the NT box has an A record for
itself.
Are you sure you aren't doing WINS resolution type stuff for the NT box in
that domain and the zone has a proper A record for the NT box?

Also, you haven't told use which version of bind you're using though I'll
presume it's most likely 8.1.2 since you're using 1.4
