:sorry, but how the hell does `make install' know to create local
:spool directories? if (for some insane moment) i decided to install
:INN here, and i wanted a set of 'eterna.xxx' groups, i would have
:to create /var/spool/news/eterna manually!
If you were running INN and wanted an eterna.xxx group then you'd be running
"ctlinnd newgroup eterna.xxx .. ...." and it would get created under
/var/spool/news/overview/.... if you had overview stuff.
Doesn't look like it needs to do anything in /var/spool/news to me.
Maybe some other news package does? You should be able to tell us since
you came up with the idea that something does.
:there is a problem here, for sure. i don't know exactly what it is,
:but you're analysis seems to be missing somethings.
Want to try that again, Matt?
