>Description:
getty now recognizes a PPP handshake, and invokes whatever
program is set in the gettytab with the "pp" attribute.
The "pp" attribute is cryptically referred to as the path
for a "PPP authentication program" (pppd?).
However, it would be a good thing to mention this in the
getty(8) manual page, and provide an example configration.
