>Description:

After booting the kernel to single user mode, or in multiuser
startup, the system will hang, when you either try to fsck a dirty
disk or do e.g. 'disklabel -e -r'.
One can mount a disk and list files on it etc. though.

Frederick Bruckman <fb@enteract.com> also reports this and his box is
also a 486class computer with VLB.

>How-To-Repeat:

Build a kernel and install it on such a system.

The error message comes from dev/ic/aic7xxx.c around line 2727
and indicates, that the bus_dmamap_load() fails.

This might be related to kern/5553
