I've had a few people try it, it doesn't help--either the NetBSD code or
the BIOS is setting the carry bit without an appropriate error code.

I can't find the error in the NetBSD side, but it certainly could be
there.  See sys/arch/i386/i386/apmcall.s if you want to read the code
and try to figure out if/where we're screwing up.
