Cbzone is a very old (1986) but fun 3d game for X11. Its fast and has
very smooth movement.

There is sound support.. but it is quite literally "hacked in". The script
cbzone will run the game, but generate a ton of errors if you have no sound
device. (the game still works fine though) You can also just launch
cbzone.exec to get the normal game.

This game is a blast.. ;)
