System: NetBSD hicks 1.3F NetBSD 1.3F (CPQ) #26: Tue Jun 9 13:51:04 CEST 1998
grefen@hicks:/usr/src/sys/arch/i386/compile/CPQ i386

After a strip -x the symbol table strings are corrupted.
make a kernel with -g and nm the finished netbsd
this fails on a PII with 64 MB and on a diskless 386
I think this should be in Category kern ...
I suspect a problem with mmap, so making strip use read/write
may fix it, but the underlying problem should be fixed.
