I wrote a long reply to Greg's note, which I'll spare the list.
if anyone wants to see it, ask me and I'll forward a copy.

basically: please don't incorporate the suggested changes
into vacation; or if you do, make them optional and non-default.
(SunOS vacation uses the -j flag for this purpose)

it would also be helpful if netbsd vacation were modfiied
to support the standard autosubmitted: field.
